Film, Panelists Explore Green Burials

Hilton Landmarks, a division of GSP Group, hosted a screening of A Will for the Woods exploring the option of green burials.

Clark Wang's pursuit of environmentalism became his legacy in life. Battling lymphoma, the musician, psychiatrist and folk dancer planned for his own green burial to conserve natural areas and minimize the impact of contemporary funeral practices.

Hilton Landmarks sponsored a screening of A Will for the Woods, a documentary that follows Clark's dream to be part of the life cycle of the natural forest. The screening was followed by a panel discussion led by Good Green Death Project, a local group led by Susan Koswan and Ellen Newman exploring more environmentally friendly options at the end of life.

Hilton Landmarks, a division of GSP Group, has been supporting municipalities for over 25 years to plan and design more sustainable cemeteries with scattering gardens, crematoria, and green burials.
