GSP Assists Maple Leaf with New Plant
Maple Leaf Foods announced on November 26, 2018 that it is building a new state-of-the-art fresh poultry facility in southeast London, Ontario. The plant is about 640,000 square feet in size and will be a $660-million investment. The plant will replace several aging poultry processing plants in Ontario and employ about 1,450 people at the outset with further expansion in time.
GSP Group is leading the Site Plan Approval process for the project and providing landscape architectural services on this 75-acre site. Site landscaping is extensive with our Landscape Architecture team providing designs for street edges, parking lots, walkways, staff outdoor areas, stormwater management ponds and ecological buffer restoration.
We are pleased to be working with Maple Leaf and the project team which includes Hixson Architects and Engineers (Cincinnati), and WalterFedy Architects and Engineers (Kitchener).
