GSP Group
Inc. in collaboration with Dutoit, Allsopp & Hillier
developed the Master Plan for Conestoga College’s proposed
Cambridge Campus. GSP’s design work involved the spaces
between road and buildings and strived to enhance a
pedestrian-focused campus and contribute to positive user
experiences.
GSP is providing landscape design,
project
management, and construction services for Phase 1
implementation.
Site considerations include heat island effect reduction
with planting and bioswale water management; water-efficient
native planting; innovative stormwater and salt management;
site furnishings with recycled content; creek
rehabilitation; and accessible, open space development.
Sustainable specifications incorporate organic landscape
installation and maintenance practices.
