Hugh Handy

Project Description

In practice for over 30 years, Hugh has been involved in a variety of private- and public-sector projects. He has considerable experience in residential, commercial, institutional, and employment due diligence and planning approvals, and has been involved in residential subdivision planning, mixed-use re-urbanization projects, and residential infill developments. Hugh works on several projects in the rural area and has considerable experience with rural planning and development, having previously worked for the County of Wellington. He also has a keen interest and experience in parks, recreation, and trail planning.

Hugh holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Planning) from the University of Waterloo. He has been actively involved with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) throughout his career and occasionally lectures on planning topics at the University of Waterloo and the University of Guelph.
