Valerie Schmidt
Project Description
Valerie has over 10 years of land-use planning experience in consulting and municipal practices, most recently with the Township of Centre Wellington, where she was responsible for managing severances and minor variances, commenting on site plans, preparing staff reports, and answering public inquiries. Prior to that, she was a private sector planning lead for various developments in smaller communities within Waterloo Region, involved in a variety of development applications, including site plan applications, official plan and zoning by-law amendments, plans of subdivision, minor variances, due diligence, and feasibility assessments. Valerie also has experience in preparing witness statements, affidavits, and document books for Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (now the Ontario Land Tribunal) hearings.
Valerie holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours, Urban and Regional Planning) from the University of Waterloo.
