Leading a team of specialists, GSP Group prepared an innovative strategy for the future of Kitchener’s parks. The Plan underscores the importance of parks and natural areas as vital components of a healthy and sustainable city. It calls for increased investment  in the parks system to support improvement in areas such as the restoration and management of natural areas, trails and active transportation, contiguous public open space, access along the Grand River, sportsfield capacities, neighbourhood park renewal and new park development. The Plan was approved by Kitchener City Council in October, 2010.
