Project Description

This project is for a site located at 87-109 Ashley Street. The following uses are envisioned for the site:

  • Rental apartment building with approximately 136 units
  • Range of unit types from studio to 2 bedrooms + den
  • Landscaped courtyard facing Ashley Street
  • 91 vehicular parking spaces with the majority in an underground parking garage and the remaining on the surface
  • 56 bicycle parking spaces

A rezoning would be required to accommodate this development vision.

A Neighbourhood Information/Community Meeting was held in June 2023 where the project team shared the development vision and answered questions. Further details are below.

May 29, 2024: New Formal Consultation

June 2023: Two community consultations were held. The first was on June 8th, 2023 with key community members and representatives from the Gibson and Landsdale Community Planning Team and Barton Village Business Improvement Association. This was a site walkabout. The second was an open house on June 14th, 2023 with the broader community

October 2022: GSP Group Inc. became the new planning agent. Applied to and was granted a Formal Consultation waiver

September 2021: Formal Consultation with the City of Hamilton and former planning agent
