The City of Calgary retained GSP Group to design and develop the new St. Mary’s Cremation Garden, integrating an existing heritage monument. Based on recommendations made as part of a previous business plan, GSP Group designed a concept that ultimately became the Seven Graces of Mary Columbarium Garden which seamlessly integrates the historical nature of the site with extensive vistas of downtown Calgary. A granite statue of Mary provides a secondary focal point. Construction of the cremation garden was completed in 2018.
