Matthew Warzecha offers a balance of experience focusing on policy development, urban design and development approvals gained through his time working in Ontario, Nova Scotia and internationally. Matthew holds a Master Degree in urban planning from Dalhousie University's School of Architecture and Planning, as well as an undergraduate degree in Geography and Urban Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo.
Matthew provides a variety of experience from both the public and private sectors while maintaining an emphasis on urban design. Prior to joining GSP Group, Matthew contributed to projects in Canada and South America having previously worked with the City of Waterloo and Halifax Regional Municipality as well as with the Suriname Trade and Industry Association.
He was involved with the Waterloo Official Plan Review, the Halifax HRMbyDesign Regional Centre Urban Design Study, Suriname's National Planning Legislation Review, and the Revitalization Strategy and Design of Valliantsplein, a public square in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage District in Paramaribo, Suriname.
