Sarah Knoll is a Senior Planner at GSP Group in Hamilton. She achieved a Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours Urban and Regional Planning, Legal Studies and Criminology Option) degree from the University of Waterloo and is a full member with the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. Sarah has over two decades of progressive development planning experience in the private sector.
She has been responsible for land use planning approvals and project management on residential, commercial, institutional and industrial developments, including managing of numerous consultant teams as well as internal planning staff. Land use planning approvals comprise of, in part, official plan and zoning by-law amendments, draft plans of subdivision and condominium, and site plans. Sarah has also appeared before the Ontario Municipal Board (now the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal) and has given evidence as an expert witness.
Sarah's work experience includes coordination of successful development projects within southwestern Ontario, beginning with land acquisition and due diligence assessment through to planning approvals, servicing and construction. Sarah's projects utilize a thorough analysis of government documents relating to land use planning, as well as developer and public requirements and site constraints which cohesively evolve into successful developments.
