The Gilmore Lodge long-term care facility is being redeveloped on a 4.8-hectare lot into a three-storey structure that will house 160 beds and a Wellness Centre. This project is pursuing WELL Silver certification under the WELL Building Standard.
GSP Group has been engaged to provide Landscape Architecture services. The landscape components of the project include the design of the outdoor amenities and courtyard providing residents with accessible outdoor spaces with raised gardens while also adding a play area for families. Additionally, streetscape treatments along Garrison Road and Albany Street are being considered, as well as the planting design around the facility, hardscape walkways and entry plaza design and layout, property line planting and the screening of service, utility and parking areas.
