The City of Niagara Falls, responsible for 24 cemeteries, wished to plan for future cemetery needs of the community. GSP Group was commissioned to prepare the City of Niagara Falls Cemetery Comprehensive Plan – Land Needs Analysis and Business Plan, an extensive, implementable document for subsequent development at the City’s currently active / semi-active cemetery properties, and to enhance as well as ensure sustainable operations in both the short and long term.
Project activities included determining the criteria for site selection and evaluation of several potential locations for a new City cemetery, as required to meet the future after-death care needs for City residents and those of the Region at large.
